Stress Reactive

There may be numerous influences that lead us to categorize a Stress Reactive skin in our modern lives. Most commonly, a stressed skin cannot tolerate products well and tends to be quite responsive. Internally related skin conditions such as rosacea, eczema, and psoriasis, may also determine a stressed skin. We also do not underestimate how emotional stress can heavily impact our skin. Our main aim when treating a Stress Reactive skin is to strengthen, calm and support our skin’s barrier function.

Lifestyle Tips for this pack

1. Avoid foods that cause inflammation
There are certain foods which can exacerbate skin conditions by increasing redness and inflammation within the body. We suggest avoiding spicy foods, alcohol, caffeine, chocolate, oranges and strawberries where possible and replacing them with anti-inflammatory foods such as green leafy vegetables, fermented foods, turmeric, ginger & herbal teas.

2. Boost your essential fatty acids
An adequate intake of Omega 3 (to be precise) will help with inflammation. Ensure to include oily fish, nuts and seeds (flaxseed, chia seeds, walnuts) in your diet. Also lookout for cold-pressed organic flaxseed oil, formulated to deliver the best balance of healthy fats for clear, calm skin.

3. Be conscious about strenuous exercise and heated activities
Please be mindful that any heated environment such as a hot shower, sauna, and spa, may contribute to inflammation. You can apply 1-2 drops of jojoba oil onto dry skin before showering to provide a gentle protective barrier against heat and steam.
