NANO FUSION

Who is it suitable for?

Our NanoFusion treatment  is suitable for a wide range of skin types and conditions. It can be used to improve the appearance of dull and lacklustre skin, even out skin tone and texture, balance breakouts,  address pigmentation and stimulate collagen & soften appearance of fine lines

How does it work?

The highly advanced NanoFusion treatment delivers skin rejuvenation in a non-invasive way. NanoFusion uses a unique disposable tip that contains 81 microscopic silicone pyramids made from pharmaceutical-grade, mono-crystalline silicone to create short-term openings in the top layer of the skin. These Nano channels remain open on the skin for approximately 15 minutes, allowing for increased penetration and absorption of beneficial active ingredients. Combined with a collagen-stimulating massage, NanoFusion’s patented technology maximises and optimises skin rejuvenation effects while delivering them to a viable location within the skin.

What will happen during the treatment?

The treatment consists of a deep cleanse,  customised serum  and nano Pen infusion to target specific skin goals.  The treatment finishes with a soothing sheet mask to promote healing and relaxation.

How much discomfort is involved?

None at all. You will experience a gentle vibration as the NanoFusion pen glides over your skin.

This  vibration can be tailored to your comfort levels. Most people find a NanoFusion treatment as therapeutic and  describe the sensation as relaxing.

What will my skin look like after the treatment?

Afterwards, your skin will be mildly flushed and you may feel slightly warm. This will resolve within a few hours and mineral make-up can be applied directly after . Expect to see elevated results after 48 hours.

How many treatments will I need?

The NanoFusion can be enjoyed as a standalone 60 or 90min treatment

While you may see an improvement after just one treatment, results will be subtle and multiple treatments are usually required to address specific concerns. We suggest a series of 6 Nano fusions over over the course of 6-12 weeks

What are the results?

This is a powerhouse treatment if you are needing a full skin refresh, concerned with aging or pigment, or have an event coming up. After your first treatment, the skin will look more refreshed and glowing. With multiple visits clients typically find an improvement in the areas of focus.

What will happen during the treatment?

The treatment consists of a deep cleanse, a customized serum and the performance of Ultra Fusion set to target specific skin goals.

None at all. You will experience a gentle warm gliding sensation, as the device is moved around one side of the face at a time,  and can expect to feel comfortable & relaxed

Depending on the program set for your skin, will depend on the time it takes to complete the Ultra Fusion, but won't exceed 12 minutes at a time.

What will my skin look like after the treatment?

Afterwards, your skin will be mildly flushed and you may feel slightly warm. The skin will feel comfortable, hydrated. Expect to feel brighter!

How many treatments will I need?

The Ultra Fusion can be a stand alone treatment, although the more regularly your skin is stimulated at that level, the better the outcome.

We suggest a series of 6-8 Ultra Fusions, over the course of 4-8 weeksEffectively 3 sessions in the one week, can result in a beautiful glow, for those leading up to a special day or with upcoming events

What are the results?

The shape of the skin will be reformed, prompting the skin to function at a higher health & more productively, resulting in refreshed and glowing skin.

LED

How does LED work?

Just like plants, our skin and other body tissues have the ability to absorb light and convert it into energy. LED light therapy delivers light energy in a similar way that plants absorb light energy from the sun. LED emits UV-free, beneficial light rays that energise cells and stimulate the body's natural process to build new proteins and regenerate.

Is it safe?

LED is a non-invasive and natural treatment with over hundreds of medical and university studies showing no negative side effects. It has been used safely and effectively for aesthetic applications for over 20 years and is the only aesthetic device that has no contra-indications of any kind. It is safe for the eyes and it cannot be overused. While LED is safe for women who are pregnant and breastfeeding we suggest consulting your doctor first.

Who is it suitable for?

LED is suitable for all skins types, colours and conditions; and provides a non-invasive treatment option. It complements the skin’s own natural ability to rejuvenate, boost collagen synthesis and stimulate wound healing; helping with overall skin health.

Is LED similar to Laser?

Not to be confused with laser, LED has a unique ability to produce the same specific light frequencies as lasers without damaging skin tissue. LED does not involve any heating of the skin and improves the health of the skin by stimulating the skin cells metabolism without causing injury and requires no down time.

What should I expect during my first Light Room session?

The sensation is akin to lying in the sun without the damaging effects during which a warm, pleasant feeling can be felt over the entire face. While you're there you can listen to some background music, mediate, even take a power nap -- honestly, the whole process is very relaxing. You will walk out feeling warm, fresh and rejuvenated (LED is also proven to stimulate serotonin levels).

What results can I expect?

On your first session your skin will feel rejuvenated from increased oxygen and blood flow to the skin. After the first 2 weeks’ skin will appear smoother, brighter and more plump. After four weeks’ skin tone will be more even, tighter and firmer with a healthy improvement in tone, clarity and texture of the skin. The complexion is plumped up with new collagen (which pushes the folds of the wrinkles out) and new elastin (which helps to tighten the skin and give it more elasticity).

How many Light sessions will I need?

Light room sessions are recommended two to three times a week for a course of four to six weeks. Ideal for pre-wedding prep or before a big event, a session only takes 20 minutes.

How long do the effects last?

LED therapy will help stimulate the skin’s natural cellular processes which help to rejuvenate and repair damaged skin; after a course of treatments this result continues to improve up to 4-6 months after a light treatment.

Will it make me breakout?

LED will not contribute to breakouts, it will actually help with the healing of breakouts by speeding up recovery time, assisting with inflammation and increasing lymphatic flow to help with toxic build up.

Can I apply make-up straight after?

You can apply make-up right after an LED treatment. We provide an organic tinted SPF, but if you prefer more coverage we recommend using natural makeup where possible.

Will it help with pigmentation?

LED can help with the underline inflammation of pigmentation, boosting the health of the skin and helping to minimise the appearance of pigmentation.

Is it ok for sensitive skin?

LED is perfectly safe for sensitive skin, it is non-invasive and is a fantastic treatment to aid skins that are experiencing anything from mild sensitivity to eczema by helping increase the skin’s natural wound healing process.

PIGMENTATION

What is Pigmentation?

As with most skin conditions, a holistic approach, whereby the condition is treated/managed from the inside out is advised. In this case, the skin needs to be detoxified, brightened, and protected. The treatment plan generally involves a range of internals and home care that includes antioxidants and UV protection, in combination with a series of LED sessions.

What actives are best to target pigmentation?

SPF is the best friend for a pigmentation client. Organic sunscreen actives such as Zinc Oxide are also really anti-inflammatory, so if the skin is presenting with an inflammation-driven pigment condition such as Melasma, it can be really supportive for the skin overall.

Vitamin B and Vitamin C are also great actives to include when treating pigmentation. Vitamin B helps suppress pigmentation long-term and Vitamin C helps to prevent oxidation (darkening of skin cells) and brightens/lifts/fades pigment that has already surfaced.

ROSACEA

How do I best treat my rosacea/diffuse redness?

Anti-inflammation is key. Avoid inflammatory-triggers such as excessive heat (hot showers, heat-inducing stimulation of the skin, hot towels), certain foods if there is a correlation there (spicy food, wine, coffee), skincare products and/or tools and techniques (overly strong actives, stripping/foaming cleansers, harsh abrasive scrubs) and in-clinic treatments that work too much against the skin such as strong peels, exfoliations and microdermabrasion.

Then, it is about re-building the condition of your skin with skincare products that will support skin strength and actively reduce redness and inflammation within the epidermal layer of the skin.

What kinds of skincare triggers do I need to be mindful of with Rosacea?

Anti-inflammatory is key – in this case, focusing on ‘what-not-to-do’ as the first point of call. Avoid inflammatory triggers such as excessive heat, acidic foods and drinks, skin-care products and/or tools and techniques that use overly strong actives, harsh abrasive scrubs or stripping/foaming cleansers. Further, avoiding in-clinic treatments that work too much against the skin such as strong peels, exfoliation and microdermabrasion.

Then, it’s about re-building with a range of skincare products and internals that will support skin strength while actively reducing redness and inflammation within the epidermal layer of the skin.

In terms of active ingredients, look towards Vitamin B3, Zinc, and a quality Vitamin A. Vitamin B3 (Niacinamide) is a powerful anti-inflammatory active which helps to strengthen skin resilience. Zinc offers SPF protection and has anti-inflammatory properties, plus it’s a natural/organic sunscreen filter so reactive/sensitive skins like rosacea-prone skin will often respond positively to it.

The MUKTI VITAMIN BOOSTER VITAL B ELIXIR is an essential addition for all skin types, especially skin suffering from Rosacea. It is designed to rejuvenate skin, enhancing clarity and luminosity.

Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) is a super, multitasking vitamin that has been shown to strengthen the skin and address a plethora of conditions. Combined with native Australian extracts of Kakadu Plum, Native Pomegranate, Mountain Pepper Berry this elixir works wonders to combat dryness, balance sebum production, increase collagen and decrease pigmentation.

Long-term Vitamin A really helps treat Rosacea, but in the beginning, we would always focus on strengthening the skin and build up to this gradually (NOTE: The Mukti Vitamin Booster Vital A Elixir is a gentle derivative – as opposed to Retinol or Retinoic Acid) designed to suit even the most sensitive skin. We have never seen an adverse reaction in the Studio with this serum.

Always apply a spritzer or face mist pre application of elixirs and treatment oils for the most effective delivery method of active ingredients. These act as a carrier and will pull the active ingredients into the deeper layers of the skin for maximum results and retention. The JOSH ROSEBROOK HYDRATING ACCELERATOR is a combination hydrator, toner, and a light moisturiser all in one. By naturally filling cells with structured aloe water the Hydrating Accelerator assists to plump, firm, and increase circulation of vital plant actives.

Cleansers that support barrier function are best – the MV Gentle Cream Cleanser is perfect for Rosacea skin that is dry / sand-papery in texture OR the Josh Rosebrook Complete Moisture Cleanse (pH balanced so great for Rosacea-prone skin which is often an alkalising condition – we want the skin to be slightly acidic at all times for that protective acid mantle to be effective and strong)

The MV SIGNATURE MINERAL MASK with pure white Kaolin Clay gently refines and exfoliates the skin by softening the stratum corneum and sloughing away any redundant skin cells, rather than abrading its surface. It assists in our skins natural desquamation, speeding up the cellular turnover naturally. It also reduces redness almost instantly – cooling and calming the skin beautifully. We recommended adding the MV Signature Mineral Mask into your skin care routine 3-4 times per week for at least 6 weeks.

Long-term Vitamin A really helps treat Rosacea, but in the beginning, we would always focus on strengthening the skin and build up to this gradually. NOTE: The Mukti Vit A is a gentle derivative – as opposed to Retinol or Retinoic Acid - designed to suit even the most sensitive skin.LED Light is so helpful in the treatment of Rosacea for the wound-healing response it initiates within the skin.In-Studio, the Jade-Rollers (as well as at home) are great to cool/calm the skin, as well as cold towels in place of hot towels toward the end of the treatment.

DEHYDRATION / DRY SKIN

What is the difference between dryness and dehydration? How do you treat such skin conditions?

Dehydrated skin is skin that is lacking water, and thus the treatment plan generally involves a range of internals, such as EFA's and skincare products that include water-binding properties, such as Hyaluronic Acids. Additionally, it is advised to exfoliate to aid in the desquamation processes and avoid products that may strip the skin.

Dry skin however is skin that is lacking sebum or oil, and thus the treatment plan generally involves a range of internals, such as EFA's and skincare products that boost oil content within the skin, such as nourishing oils and balms. Additionally, it is advised to exfoliate regularly to aid in the desquamation processes and avoid products that may strip the skin.

ACNE

How do you manage acne?

As with many skin concerns, it is important to treat all types of acne with a holistic approach whereby the condition is treated and managed from the inside out. This can be done through a combination of both internals, external prescriptions and a series of LED sessions. The goal is to reduce inflammation within the body and the skin, as well as support the body's detoxifying processes. There are many reasons why someone could be experiencing acne, so we already love our clients to work with a Naturopath in these cases to best support their internal environment.

For those experiencing oily skin, rough texture and blackhead congestion, we recommend softening the skin at home with the MV Signature Mask for at least a month before introducing any further, intensive exfoliation. A nice long compress and gentle extractions (where needed) are great at helping to clear and decongest the skin. Within our LTCO facials, we tailor the facial to include a Purifying and Balancing Mask which includes green clay to help draw any excess oil or impurities from the skin. We like to finish with a balancing moisturiser.

The MUKTI VITAMIN BOOSTER VITAL B ELIXIR is also important when treating acne as it strengthens and rebuilds the acid mantle, tightens laxed pores, reduces inflammation, and helps regulate oil flow.

For more inflamed, irritated, red, or perhaps even pustular acne, our approach is much more conservative; focusing on soothing and reducing inflammation first and foremost. We gently soften the skin, perhaps with the MV Signature Mineral Mask while in the space, and follow up with another treatment that works to calm and strengthen the skin. LED Light Therapy can also be a great modality to initiate a wound-healing response in impaired and broken skin as it prevents scarring and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation once breakouts have begun to heal.

AGEING WELL

How do I support my mature skin?

SPF is the number one product for age-prevention. Everyone should think of SPF as their best friend. Not only does it protect the skin against sunburn (and subsequent sun damage/pigmentation) but also against collagen breakdown, loss of elasticity and volume.

If you are experiencing an increase in fine lines, especially around the eye area, it is important to note that fine lines can be attributed to dehydration more than anything, so looking for a day moisturiser and night-time oil that are best-suited to your skin is imperative – sometimes, a Hyaluronic Acid serum can work well to give the skin a big drink of water, and other times the eye area requires something more specific. The Mukti Age Defiance Eye Serum is packed with peptides that hydrate and firm the delicate eye area. The skin around our eyes is more vulnerable to fine lines appearing, not because the skin is *different*, but rather, it has less supportive/connective tissue in that subcutaneous layer, to maintain volume as we age.

LED Light Therapy is a beautiful, non-invasive modality that we choose to use with our facials at Little Co, for it’s benefits to the ageing process. It works to stimulate collagen synthesis at a deep, dermal level, and re-energises skin cells so they function more optimally. We’ve got the LED Light Lounge (before treatments OR as a stand-alone treatment), the option for LED within our Remedy Facials, OR the hand-held LED Light for home-use – the beauty of LED is that you really can’t OD on it, as well… in fact, results are accumulative, so; the more, the merrier! We usually advise a Light Lounge at least twice per week if you’re coming in for a Session Pack. And then, boosting your facial each visit; ideally every 4-6 weeks, or seasonally at minimum.

TREATMENTS

What is the difference between Remedy + Ritual?

Our Remedy Facial has been designed to alleviate any particular skin condition or skin concern that requires a little tailoring. Performed with deliberate intention and slow restorative practices, our Remedy Facial is a comprehensive, deeply nourishing facial that will leave you feeling relaxed, nurtured and empowered, inside and out.

Our Ritual Facial is more of a full-body sensory experience, designed to renew much more than your skin. Using multiple enhancements, massage techniques, soundscapes, and scents; our Ritual Facials will harmonise your mind, body, heart and soul. Starting with a guided meditation and breath work to sink into a deep meditative space and help anchor the body into the present moment. While still customised to suit the skin, our Ritual facial allows for a deeper connection to self.

Are your treatments safe while pregnant?

All of our treatments are tailored to each client, so easily adjustable - substituting certain products to be pregnancy safe, whilst delivering results. Our beds are also adjustable & offer extra support to relieve any pressure / discomfort.

What products do you use in your facials? Are they safe and organic?

All of the products used within our facials have been carefully selected - they are all certified organic & wildcrafted, using only high quality ingredients.

Do you perform extractions?

As extractions are invasive we do not take them lightly. We approach extractions with care to support our living skin approach. By supporting the skins outermost layer, the epidermis, we are in turn able to support the functions of the underlying layers of skin. If the skin is not prepped and ready for extractions, it can cause damage & scarring to the skin.

Contraindications

If you get treatments outside of the studio (such as botox, fillers, skin needling, laser, resurfacing treatments) please avoid these treatments for a minimum of two weeks prior to visiting Little Company. If you are unclear of the contraindication, please call the studio

SPF

What is the difference between a physical and a chemical sunscreen?

The main point of difference between a physical and a chemical sunscreen - they either absorb or reflect the sun's rays.

A chemical sunscreen uses chemical compounds and actually penetrates the epidermis and dermis. They function within the different layers of the skin as well as on the surface to absorb UVA and UVB rays.

A Physical sunscreen however creates a physical barrier between your skin and the sun. Rather than absorbing into the skin, physical sunscreens will remain on the surface. They are naturally broad-spectrum, protecting against both UVA and UVB rays.

What is the difference in SPF ratings?

A 30+ sunscreen which is what a physical sunscreen goes up to, giving you 97.3% protection against UV Radiation.

A 50+ sunscreen needs some type of chemical sunblock ingredient to make it a 50+ which will give you 97.8% protection.

While a chemical sunscreen is slightly higher, it can also be contributing to a lot of damage within the skin.

At Little Company we always recommend a physical SPF for sun protection as you are protected as soon as you apply it to your skin and it naturally helps with inflammation. Without the chemical compounds. physical sunscreen are also the perfect option for those who experience an Environmentally Reactive skin.
